John Conrad Newman Sr. “Colonel” 79, of Terre Haute, departed on January 5th, 2020 in Union Hospital. He was born on October 20, 1940 in Terre Haute to John E. Newman and Classo Allen Newman. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, David W. Newman. Brother, Ed Newman and a sister, Judy Newman Brown. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Myers Newman whom he married February 7, 1959. He is survived by one son, John C. Newman Jr. (Michelle), One brother, Jim Newman (Jeannie), he is survived by a sister in-law, Ed’s widow Nancy Newman as well as several nieces and nephews other close family members. John was the owner of Shadow Auction Barn the last 26 years and obtained his Auctioneers License January 20, 1988. He as a member of the Coin and Bottle Club where he had served as President. He was past Master of Humboldt Lodge 42. Private services for family are scheduled. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804 was entrusted with arrangements. The family suggests that contributions be made to the Shriner’s Children Hospital.
